Mi ahijado

Earlier this year, my man and I were asked to be padrinos to a beautiful boy.  Even though we don’t practice a religion, we felt very honoured that our friends had such confidence in us.  We very happily and gratefully accepted.

My comadre wanted her little guy to wear a traditional baptism outfit, but here in North America, it was almost impossible to find.  I then decided that I would gift my little ahijado with an outfit made lovingly by hand by me!  However, little did I know what a sewing feat it would be, given the fact that I have such limited sewing experience, but it’s rather wonderful what one can achieve when love is the main driving force!

I must say that I was very happy with the result.  I think my ahijado was too!
